Poso is the heart of the beauty of Sulawesi. This area has a very beautiful lake named Lake Poso. This vast lake could be an option for a vacation. A variety of fun activities await you there. Swimming in the cool lake water, fishing, enjoying the orchid garden, or do a culinary adventure. Lake Poso is located in the District of North Pamona, City Tentena, approximately 56 Kilometers from the city of Poso, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. Distance from the city of Palu is about 280 kilometers. Poso Lake is the largest lake on the island of Sulawesi and the third largest in Indonesia after Lake Toba in North Sumatra and West Sumatra Lake Batur. Lake Poso extends of 32,000 hectares. Line from north to south with a diameter of 32 kilometers and a width of 16 kilometers. Maximum deep reach 510 meters. 
The temperature in Lake Poso is very cool because it is located at an altitude of 657 meters above sea level. Therefore, Lake Poso and the surrounding area became the ideal location to rest. Repel and release the fatigue away from routine work. The atmosphere in the area is also very quiet as far away from the city noise. The water in this lake was very fresh. Meanwhile, around the lake grows a variety of trees. In the distance are also the slopes and valleys of green hill. Blend it all creates a very beautiful panorama. There is uniqueness. The water there has never been a dirty or muddy despite the mud flow from the rivers around it. The ecosystem has kept the lake from damage.

There are several access routes to Lake Poso. The main route is from the town of Poso, Palu heading by bus. Palu to Poso trip takes between seven to eight hours. From Poso, proceed to Lake Poso as far as 56 kilometers and takes about 1 to 1,5 hours. If you want to travel more convenient, you can rent a car or take part in a tour package from Palu.
